Side Discharge Buckets

  • Side-discharge buckets come in two styles: SD (Dust/Mulch) models are for lighter material such as mulch, sawdust, and straw; SA (Aggregate) models are for aggregate-type material such as lime, sand, or gravel.
  • Side-discharge buckets come standard with a direct-drive hydraulic motor on the discharge belt. Side discharge from either left or right side of the bucket.
  • Belt grouser height:
    • SA buckets = 0.5 inches – SD buckets = 1 inch
  • Manually adjusted discharge gates control flow.
  • SD models have an agitator driven by a separate hydraulic motor to prevent the bridging of lighter material to deliver a more consistent flow of material.
  • SA models feature a bridging plate to keep weight off of the belt and prevent motor stalling.
  • The speed of the belt varies with the engine rpm.
  • A predrilled cutting edge is available to accept a replaceable John Deere bolt-on cutting edge.
  • Side-discharge buckets are available in two widths for the SDs: SD72 and SD84 and two widths for the SAs: SA60 and SA72.
  • These side-discharge buckets are optimized to work with John Deere skid steer loaders (SSLs) and compact track loaders (CTLs). They’re also compatible with many competitive models.
